What it worked out on its own
The title stays up while everything behind it changes. That is what makes four unrelated shots read as one statement; a title per clip makes four statements.
Each cut is covered by a two-frame blur and a small slide, so the join reads as a camera move. Motion is silent, and a bare cut between unrelated shots needs something to carry it.
Every clip starts at a different point in its own source, or four clips all open on the same establishing beat.
