What it worked out on its own
A loop is an arithmetic constraint, not a style: every value is a sine of the turn times a whole number, so nothing may be a spring and nothing may accumulate. One linear drift and the seam is visible forever.
Bands, not blobs. A wide shallow band keeps a lit half and a dark half in the frame; three big blurred circles give one even wash, which is what every template background looks like.
No conic gradient anywhere: a conic has a hard seam where its last stop meets its first, and it converges on a point the eye finds immediately.
A different number of turns per element — one, two, three, and four for the dust — so everything meets again at the seam and almost nowhere before it.
