What it worked out on its own
Every spring is overdamped and every fade is at least twenty frames. The register is set entirely by what the piece refuses to do.
The photograph pushes in for the whole nine seconds and the card rises a few pixels over the same time. Two very slow moves in one direction read as calm; a still frame reads as a stall.
It is the one composition in the library where the absence of an impact is the design.
