What it worked out on its own
Each word is sized on its own so the frame is always full and the rhythm comes from the cut, not from the type jumping around.
The word is cut at the middle of the cap height and the two halves travel in from opposite sides — the same gesture every time, which is what turns a sequence of frames into a rhythm.
Five frames for the entrance, eased rather than sprung: a spring stiff enough to close in time overshoots, and on a word split in half an overshoot is unreadable.
The ground inverts once, on the last word, and then the whole sentence assembles underneath it. A piece that spends seven seconds taking a line apart owes the viewer the line back.
