Make your own number counter animation
Counts one number up to its value and puts a line of context under it, which is the whole of most data stories. Say a sentence like the one below and your agent writes you a different one — free, in your browser.
Say this to your agent
>One big number counting up, with a line of context under it.
Or ask for a different one
Not settings — each one builds something else.
>Three big numbers in a row, each counting up as the last one finishes.
>Count up to a percentage and draw a ring filling round it as it goes.
>A number counting down instead of up, ending on zero.
What it worked out on its own
Tabular figures, or the block shuffles sideways on almost every frame of the count: a proportional 1 is narrower than a proportional 8.
The count decelerates hard, so the last hundred are the slowest and the figure lands. A linear count simply stops, which reads as the animation being cut off.
The arc is drawn from the identical progress value as the digits — two indicators of one quantity computed separately will eventually disagree.
The size comes from the string, not from the frame: a fixed fraction of the width fits 48,210 and runs off both edges at 148,210, and the value is a prop.
