What it worked out on its own
A phone facing camera is a screenshot with rounded corners. Rotated with perspective and turning slowly, it is an object — and an object is the only thing a viewer accepts as a product.
Perspective belongs to the parent and rotation to the child: put both on one element and every child gets its own vanishing point, which is the cardboard look that gives away a CSS mock-up.
Body, bezel and screen are three nested boxes with three radii. Two boxes look like a picture in a rounded div; three read as glass inside metal.
